Balancing robot may care for elderly – Innovation – MSNBC.com

Ballbot looks more like a bookshelf here. I wonder what’s its extra features. Is it worth the price of owning one of these robots? Our living standard is too low to afford one.

Sperm-donor siblings unite online – More Health News – MSNBC.com

Something to ponder about, what if, I say, what if the siblings married each other and without knowing they are related (although the possibilities will be very low)? What will happened to them?

Salut, anyone?

Waterkisses: :yeah lor..

I was having writer’s block today. Ok..Ok..I’m not a writer but just a blogger. LOL. This is so interesting. I like wine and personally do enjoy wine. If I have the chance to be wine tester, I won’t miss it!! Where can I find free wine? Hmm…

The first time I tried Johnie Walker was years ago when I attended a party. Hehe..What a luxurious party that they provide red wine, wisky and brandy. There are ways of enjoying wine. Most of the people I know of won’t think twice to gulp the whole liquor into their throat. I wonder why are they always having wine as if they were drinking beer. Wine and beer are 2 different things. They are very DIFFERENT. I hate to admit that I hate it when people do not appreciate wine. I try to search through books from MPH. Yeah, I read there on the spot without buying the book. What else to expect from a poor student like me?

I got these golden rules of matching food with wine from the book. Food and wine matching is never easy, and it depends also on individual taste. But there are certain hidden rules and some experts’ opinions which I’d like to share with you.

1. Normally it is sensible to start with a young, light, well-chilled wine and progress to more mature, more full-bodied fine wines served closer to room temperature.

2. Have a sip of water or some bread in between wines.

3. Most meals begin with dry whites, then reds, then sweet whites, except in the case when the starter being fois gras which pair very well with sweet whites.

4. As a general rule, of course there are, dry whites go well with seafood whiles reds with meat and game.

5. Some dishes/food will not go well with almost any wine. So, don’t try to struggle.

6. Sometimes you’ll find that picking a simple local wine to match local dishes might beat some expensive big names.

Interview Done

Just as nervous as any newbie for interview, waterkisses stepped into Suite 802 of 8th Floor, Amcorp Building. A pleasant guy greeted waterkisses and told to register name onto their interview waiting list. Waterkisses got no. 14 in the list. What a lucky number considering 10 – 4 in Cantonese! Sap Sei – Sat Sei. More unexpected things happened, waterkisses is to be interviewed with other 4 persons in a boardroom.

Each of the applicants is given 1 minute to tell about themselves. Applicant no.1 started to intro himself with whoa – what a nice intro! Graduated from Australia with Bachelor of Computer Science. Oh my! What a strong opponent! The rest is not a big threat to waterkisses though. If and only IF there aren’t so many applicants for the walk-in interview, waterkisses should have a good chance of getting hired.

Waterkisses was quite nervous before going for the interview but once sitting in the boardroom, everything seems smooth. Although the air-con is cold and this makes waterkisses’s hands became cold. Waterkisses wondered if the recruiter senses the temperature of the room. But all guys are wearing long sleeves shirt, won’t feel anything!!!

Waterkisses will never believe conversing mandarin in an interview in her whole life! For the whole time, waterkisses was preparing to converse in English. Double damn. Waterkisses has never been used to converse mandarin with other people beside own family members and some friends back in mainland China or Taiwan. What waterkisses need to do now is to send out more resume to apply for a new job. Can’t wait for one job forever or waterkisses will be stucked forever without a Bachelor Degree. No one knows how long waterkisses had dream to wear the gown and hood for convocation. It was at the year of 6 waterkisses aimed to wear that hood and gown which look so glorious and pretty one day.

Waterkisses wondered how others fare in their interview. That depends on who is willing to tell me of their experiences. Waterkisses can never press on them to tell. Time for the “Charmed Ones” in action.

What is so great about topcities???? You think you have free 100mb of web space and you can criticize my own registered domain? I pay every cent for it! There is nothing slow so-called-cacat(defect) page at he claimed. The only one thing is a defect – your tortoise STREAMYX!!! Come on, wake up boy! You have never seen a real web site yet. Bon Odori this year is not as fun as last time. I got interviewed by a reporter from a local newspaper and they took my photo. I was asked about many things. I was mistaken as Japanese in the beginning when the reporter approached me asking if I wanted to be interviewed. I don’t know what my mind had been doing and I said yes without second thought. The best part was having Aimed with me. She had come to my stay with me for a few days.

Bday Bash

I’d turn 23 this year and hardly to suppress my feeling. Having a Belated Bday Bash is so much fun and cool. Imagine for a little girl who had never celebrated Bday outside from her house and with a bunch of cool friends. There are a lot more to tell indeed.

My biggest surprise was meeting Chris. He flew back all the way from Sarawak to celebrate my bday. I doubted it’s not the reason. The main reason is they wanted to go clubbing together but I didn’t follow. After seeing him, we never really talk in during the dinner. I don’t know why I shy away from the whole group. Maybe meeting them for the first time somehow is a bit awkward to me. I was the youngest and I feel very timid.

Bobo bought me a Minnie Mouse Bday Cake. I’m more like a kid then. Saylong and the rest went to have tattoo. I brought them to the shop and they pick up a few images from the booklet. Both Bobo and Saylong had tattoo. I wanted to make one too but since the pictures are not very fancy, I’d dropped the idea. I don’t know how to express and it’s all seems like a dream to me.

Josh is a Canadian whom stayed in Penang for years and never came to Kl before. Would you believe it? We got him to come over for the last days of his stay in Malaysia.

Jen had become his free KL tour guide and she brought him over to Sunway Pyramid to meet me. It’s so much fun! Not long after we settled at starbuck, Sok arrived and we dared Jen to go for ice-skating. Although her answer is a NO-NO-NO finally she gave in.. HEHE…how did we do that? When Jen got into the ice rink, she was pulling Josh’s shirt for support the whole time.

You can imagine how her legs turned jelly. Ha ha…Sok was quite good. He can skate without anyone’s support. Haha.. I secretly took the shot of them. Jen was so embarrassed. Hehe..but it’s just for memory’s sake…

Went to a Wedding Dinner

The dinner was supposed to be on 14th March 2003, 7 o’clock sharp. Well, it’s a Malaysian style of wedding where as the guests will never arrive on time. Hmm…because of some family problems…we set off at 8pm (this is  very new for me as I’d never been late for a wedding dinner)

We get an advantage of unplanned car journey – rain all the way to congested KL highway and roads + traffic jam. It is so far from my house. I wonder why on earth did my cousin pick up a faraway place for wedding dinner venue! Ok…when we arrive..there was…as usual..no parking..this is what’s KL looks like..

While it’s raining….I soaked myself…little..without umbrella……it was nearly 9.30pm…yeah, no kidding! The guests had their 2nd dish finished. Hmm…we were the last to arrive.. Third dish came and I didn’t eat at all….coz it’s piglet! I don’t eat piglet. Then I starve again…until they have prawns…with wine..then only I started to eat..then fresh water fish —-> I don’t eat again…until a vege..then lotus leaf rice. That’s all! As for desserts…red bean soup..err and fried pan cake. The end.

I don’t know to feel sad or happy…whole night sitting with my aunts…that’s why I hate going late! The place is very small and crowded….not the one I used to attend before…++ smokes and hot! Terrible for me enough.
